Naming and branding of a new restaurant in Venice specialized in fish and seafood.
“Sivoli” is a term conceived by the poet Gabriele D’Annunzio that comes from the dialectal word “sievoli”, a kind of fish pretty common in the Venice area but that can be exquisite if skilfully cooked. This name has been chosen to represent the traditional side of the restaurant dishes, but also the high-level preparation of the staff that cook them, artists in the kitchen.
The wordmark has been composed using the original calligraphy of the poet obtained from his personal letters. The elegant wordmark is paired with a modern narrow typeface.
